Internet Restriction?
Are the rumors true? Students have been restricted from such sites as Facebook and Myspace? While I’m not a huge follower, I do have accounts with them and tend to use them occasionally to pass time. Social networking sites are overall pretty harmless aren’t they? So why the restriction? I can come up with plenty of pointless reasons I’m sure but what about the valid, legit ones?
We are givin 10 minute breaks every hour. There are also many students that work ahead of the class at a faster pace that end up with tons of free time in class. With the attendance policy and the way it has an effect on your overall grade, students like me are forced to sit around for hours a day with nothing to do. I can’t leave early cause it counts against me, and now I can’t sit around and use the Internet much because I’m restricted from that now. So here I sit, refusing to download games to a school computer to pass time… but thoroughly considering it since there isn’t much else to do now.
